Surviving Uni: Eating! Spicy & Sour Fungus salad



Ingredients:
1 bowl black fungus
2 tsp pepper oil
1 tsp black sesame oil
1/2 tsp Chinese Vinegar
1.5 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp sugar
1 bowl of boiled water
1 clove Garlic, minced



Method:
1.     Pour the boiled water into the bowl of dry fungus while it’s super hot. Set aside, let the fungus soak up the water for 10-20 minutes.




2.     While the fungus is being set aside, mix everything else together


3.     After the fungus is ready (not dry anymore), put the fungus into the mixture of all the otehr ingredients, mix well to serve.





A great choice for summer dish!






Surviving Uni: Eating! The Step-up Ribs



The Step-up ribs is what Chinese people will eat during the new year time. We cook this dish for others when we want to wish them good luck or to have a promotion sooner or later.
Ingredients:

600g ribs, cut it into 2-4cm long
1 tbsp rice wine
2 tbsp black Chinese vinegar
3 tbsp sugar
4 tbsp soy sauce
5 tbsp water
3 slice ginger







Method:


1.         Put the ribs in a pot, set it aside



2.         Mix all the other ingredients together and pour the mixture into the pot






3.         Heat up the pot on low heat, cook for 40-50 minutes

Surviving Uni: Eating! Piggy's Butter Toast



Ingredients:

1 piece of toast
1/2 sp butter
Condensed Milk, as much as you like!



Method:

1.     Put the butter on the pan then heat up the pan over low or medium heat



2.     Put the toast on top of the butter before it completely melt, cook it over medium heat,fried the toast until it is crispy and looks golden





3.     Place the toast on your plate and put as much condensed milk as you like on it!




It’s super fattening, but it’s also SUPER GOOD !!

Surviving Uni: Eating! Cheese& Bacon Roll



Ingredients:

1 piece of toast
1 piece of bacon
1 piece of cheese
1/2 tsp parsley, minced
1 egg
1 sp butter
Pepper & salt to taste
1 sp plain flour
2 sp water




Method:
1.     Heat up the pan over medium heat, fired bacon, remove it from pan when cooked.



2.     Cut off the crusty edges of the toast. Press the toast, then use a glass to roll over it. (after you roll the toast, it will be easier for it form a roll later on)




3.     Place the bacon on the toast, and then place the cheese on top of bacon. After this, set it aside.




4.     Mix the plain flour and the water in a bowl. Put this mixture on only one side of the edge of the toast. (the flour can stick the toast together, so a roll can be formed: )






5.     Roll it up from the opposite side of where the flour mixture is. Press the toast a bit harder when it is rolled to the edge of the other side (where the flour mixture is located), this will allow the flour mixture to stick on the both side of the toast and keep the shape still. Set the bread roll aside.






6.     Mince parsley, whisk egg. Then put parsley in the egg.





7.      Roll the bread roll in the egg mixture and make sure it is fully coated





8.     Put the butter on the pan and heat the pan up over low heat. Fried the bread roll in the pan over low or medium heat until the egg is cooked. Remove it from pan, cut it in half (just so that it’ll look nicer :P)




 


Surviving Uni: Eating! Ridiculously Simple Egg Salad



Ingredients:
1 Egg
Potato salad dressing as much as you like!


(I forgot to take a photo of them :( but hopefully you all know what do the ingredients look lik-besides, you defenitely can find them in the supermaeket >w<)


Method:
1.         Boiled the egg and get the egg shell off after it is cooked.






2.         Mash the Egg and add in as much potato salad dressing as you like!
