Surviving Uni: Drinking! Tea for girls

This Chinese tea can help to ease period pain. It works really well (for me and all of my friends who had tried it)!! So, if you or any of your girl’s friend or female family members is having a hard time during those days of the month, you can make this tea for them!


l  Ingredients

Half glass of water
Ginger
2 sp of red sugar



l  Method
1.     Cut two slice of ginger


2.     Put red sugar, ginger and water in a bowl and mix well.



3.     Heat up the mixture in a microwave for 3 minutes. Ready to Serve.

Surviving Uni: Eating! Fast corn & egg cake

This is a super simple food which can be made within 5 minutes! It’s great for exam period when you are busy and don’t have much time to cook. More importantly, it is filling and gives you energy to study!




l  Ingredients
2 sp of corn kernels
1 egg
1 sp of flour
Soy sauce to taste



l  Method
1.     Whisk the egg in a bowl



2.     Add flour and corn kernel into the bowl and mix them with the egg.


3.     Put the mixture into microwave for 1.5 minutes or until the mixture is solidified


4.     Get the cooked cake out and add soy sauce to taste

Surviving Uni: Eating! Sweet corn soup




l  Ingredients

1.5 can of corn kernels (1 can 420g)
3 cloves of garlic
200ml milk
300ml chicken stock
1 tsp of sugar
salt to taste




l  Method

1.     Mince garlic.



2.     Put the corn kernels (1 can) in the juicer and smash it for 2 minutes.






3.     Put a filtering net on top of a bowl and pour the smashed kernels in it. Shake the filtering net so the corn juice can get into the bowl while the unsmoothed bit of the corn can be separated.



4.     Mix milk, chicken stock and corn juice.



5.     Put the mixture in a pot and heat it over medium heat.


6.     After 5 minutes, add in garlic, sugar and corn kernels (1/2 can).




7.     Heat the soup up until it’s boiled. Ready to serve.

Surviving Uni: Eating! Spicy fried potato




l  Ingredients
2 potatoes
2 dried chili
3 cloves of garlic
1 sp of vegetable oil




l  Method

1.     Peel the skin of potatoes and shred the potatoes




2.     Mince dry chili and garlic



3.     Pour the oil in the pan and heat it up over medium heat. Add in chili and garlic, stir-fry it for 1 minute.



4.     Add in the potato, stir-fry it for 8-10 minutes. Ready to serve.

Surviving Uni: Eating! Braised Spicy Eggplant




l  Ingredients

1 eggplant
1 spring onion
2 dried chili
1 handful of coriander
2 sp of vegetable oil
3 sp soy sauce
1 sp of Da sauce









l  Method

1.     Peel the skin of the eggplant and dice it.





2.     Mince spring onion, dried chili and coriander.


3.     Mix the soy sauce and Da sauce in a bowl and set it aside.






4.     Pour oil in the pan and heat it up over medium heat. Add in spring onion and chili, and then stir-fry them for 2 minutes then remove them from the pan.


5.     Add eggplant into the pan and stir-fry it for 4 minutes then remove it from the pan.



6.     Put the spring onion and chili back in the pan. Stir in the mixture of soy sauce and Da sauce for 1 minute.


7.     Add the eggplant back into the pan and mix well, let it braise by itself for 3 minutes.


8.     Add in the coriander and mix well. Ready to serve.
